Football Magician at Everton

11th January – Everton Football Club resident magician.

First home game of 2014 saw me back in the lounges and Executive boxes at Everton FC for the home game against Norwich. It was a great atmosphere in the lounges and I got chance to try out some new ideas I have been coming up with. That’s one of the best things about having a regular venue to perform at – you see clients on a regular basis; you get to know them. Often I don’t show the regulars some magic every week; it’s often just about saying hi and finding out how things are with them – being friendly and genuinely interested in them. Often, they will bring different guests and ask that I show them a specific trick, which is always fun.

A few magicians don’t like to repeat tricks, through fear of it being exposed, but, for me, the real joy comes from seeing a regular client get a massive kick from inviting me over to perform “that one with the cup” for his guests. The client gets to see the amazement for himself and, in some way (through inviting me over), takes some credit in creating that amazement. He gets to feel like a magician – and I created that moment for him! It’s a different kind of magic. The new guest gets to see me perform a great trick and have fun, whereas, for the regular guest, I’m making his experience better by performing for his friend.

For me, it’s not about performing tricks, it’s about giving people a great experience. It’s about making people glad that you came over and said “HI”. You can do that in so many different ways. Obviously, as a Liverpool magician, I’m going to be using magic as my main vehicle, but there is so much more to being a magician than just doing tricks. If you’re going to book a magician to give your guests a fabulous time, find one that knows how to truly entertain them.

If you’re holding an event or wedding in Liverpool, and are looking for someone to get your guests laughing, why not give me a call on 07950 33809307950 338093 or email me to see how I can make your event a success?
