On Sunday, I was asked to perform at the reception of Dominique and Anthony at the very lovely Fina Bar and Grill in Macclesfield as a Cheshire wedding magician; before the bride, groom and guests sat down for a three course meal. Here’s how the restaurant looked 30 seconds before everyone arrived:
With only 40 guests, I had a chance to spend more time with each than I normally do. Usually, it can be quite the physical feat (and those of you who know me, know that I’m not built for physical feats!) to make sure you get round as many people as possible, so yesterday was a real treat. Compared to another event I was working this weekend, it was great to end the weekend on a really fun gig!
usually, the bride and groom are far too busy to actually see any magic, but the groom was quite insistent – he’d booked a magician, he wanted to see some magic! I got a few moments with the bride and groom and took them to one side to perform the one trick I love performing for happy couples…and I only do it for them. You want to know what it is? Well, if you ever get married, book me to perform and then absolutely insist on seeing some magic…then I’ll show you. 😉
I’m thinking of starting a new feature on here, entitled “weird things people draw on my cards”. Here’s the first entry:
No doubt, with a lot of drunken corporate parties to attend this year, I dare say it won’t be the worst thing drawn upon my beloved pieces of pasteboard. I’ll keep you posted.
If you are ever in the Macclesfield area and get chance to go to Fina, do. The food looked absolutely gorgeous and the guests were raving about it. Tell Will and Amy I said “Hi!”.
A magician can be a great way to entertain your guests on your special day, while you’re busy doing everything that brides and groom do on their special day. Having someone like me making your guests laugh can take a lot of the pressure of you wondering if people are ok. Let me take the worry out of your day by emailing me and asking how I can help make your special day the best it can be!
